Riot. Rally. Protest: Earth, December 2019 is a curated archive of found footage from protests, demonstrations, riots, strikes, and other political gatherings that occurred around the world during the last month of an increasingly turbulent decade. The videos were shot by journalists, activists, protesters, and witnesses in 105 different countries. They were streamed live or uploaded online shortly after the fact for the eyes of the world to see, and were collected into this archive in the beginning of January 2019. Devoid of the verbal commentary and re-contextualization of TV, they offer a first-person perspective of what it means to take a cause to the streets of the world today.
